ABOUT DESTINATIONS

Mirik is a picturesque tourist spot nestled in the serene hills of Darjeeling district in West Bengal of India, located at an altitude of 1595 Meters above from the see level. The highest point is the Boker Monastery at about 1,768 Meters (5,801 ft). Mirik Lake is at about 1,494 Meters (4,902 ft) is the lowest point. It is the headquarters of Mirik subdivision. The name Mirik comes from the Lepcha words Mir-Yok meaning "place burnt by fire". Mirik has become a popular tourist destination for its climate, natural beauty and easy accessibility. The centre of all attraction is the Sumendu Lake, surrounded by a garden named Savitri Pushpaudyan on one side and pine trees on the other, linked together by an arching footbridge called Indreni Pool. A 3.5-km-long road encircles the lake and is used for walks with the view of Kangchenjunga on the far horizon. Boating on the quaint Shikaras and horse riding are available.

Darjeeling is a town, located in West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. It is located at high altitude of 2042 Meters above from the see level. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It is noted for its tea industry, the spectacular views of Kangchenjunga, the world's third-highest mountain and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Darjeeling is the headquarters of Darjeeling district which has a partially autonomous status within the state of West Bengal. It is also a popular tourist destination of India.

Pelling is a town in the district of West Sikkim, India. Pelling is nestled at an altitude of 2,150 m (7,200 feet). The town is located at a distance of 10 km from the district headquarters of Geyzing. Places to visit in and around Pelling include the local monasteries namely the ancient Pemayangtse Monastery and Sanga Choeling Monastery, the rock garden and waterfall at nearby Rimbi River, the holy rock of Rani Dhunga, the imposing double pronged Kanchenjungha Falls, the archaic quaint Singshore Bridge, the Chhange Waterfalls, and the Khecheopalri Lake holy to Buddhists.

Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim, located at an elevation of 1,650 m (5,410 ft). Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges. 

Lachen is a town in North Sikkim district in India. It is located at an height of 2,750 Meters. The name Lachen means "Big Pass". The town is being promoted as a tourist destination by the Sikkim government. The town forms the base to the Chopta Valley and Gurudongmar Lake. An annual Yak race, the Thangu is held here in summer.

Lachung is a town and hill station in northeast Sikkim, India. It is located in the North Sikkim district near the border with Tibet. Lachung is at an elevation of about 9,600 feet (2,900 Meters) and at the confluence of the Lachen and Lachung Rivers, both tributaries of the River Teesta. The word Lachung means "small pass". The town is approximately 125 KM from the capital Gangtok. Tourists come from all over the world to visit the town between October and May, mostly on their way to the Yumthang Valley and the Lachung Monastery. Most of Lachung's inhabitants are of Lepcha and Tibetan descent. Languages spoken here are Nepali, Lepcha and Bhutia. During winter the town is usually covered in snow. Lachung is also the base camp for Rhododendron Valley Trek which starts from Yumthang Valley and ends at Lachen Valley.

Kalimpong situated on the foothills of the Himalayas is a green destination at an altitude of 1243 meters. The municipality sits on a ridge overlooking the Teesta River and is a tourist destination owing to its temperate climate, magnificent Himalayan beauty and proximity to popular tourist locations in the region.

Day 01: Arrival At Bagdogra Railway Station / Airport – Mirik (49 km) Travel time 2 hours (Approx)

On arrival at Bagdogra, pick up from NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport drive to Mirik - Mirik Lake is located at high altitude of 4,900 ft. from see level. Mirik is famous for its man-made Sumendu Lake and Tea Estates. You can do paddle boating by your own expanse. On arrival at Mirik, check in to hotel. Later free for leisure and overnight stay at Mirik hotel.

Day 02: Mirik – Darjeeling (49 km) Travel time 2/3 hours (Approx)

After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Darjeeling (6,710 ft.) via Indo – Nepal Border and Pashupati Market. On arrival at Darjeeling, check in to hotel. Later free for independent activities or explore local market of Darjeeling and overnight stay at Darjeeling hotel.

Day 03: Darjeeling Sightseeing Tour with Tiger Hill (Sunrise View Point)

Early morning at 3.30/4:00AM drive to Tiger Hill (11 Km from Darjeeling) to watching the enormous beauty of rising sun from behind the hills and the orange color of the sun reflecting from Kunchenjunga. Not only sunrise it is the place also known for the snow fall. Darjeeling, known as the ‘Queen of Hills’ stands indeed as a queen of the hill areas of North Eastern India and it is located at high altitude of 28,208 ft. On the way back from Tiger Hill, you will visit Ghoom Monastery one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries of Darjeeling and also visit Batasia Loop in Ghoom area. Later come back to hotel and after breakfast visit to Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock – A gigantic natural rock in Darjeeling, Tea Gardens and Rope way. Evening come back to hotel and free for own activities or shopping and overnight stay at Darjeeling hotel.

Day 04: Darjeeling – Pelling (108 Km) Travel time 4/5 hours (Approx)

After breakfast check out from Darjeeling hotel and drive to Pelling (6,100 ft.). This town is pleasant little town of Pelling and famous for magnificent views of the snow capped Kanchenjunga mountain range, the third highest peak in the world. On arrival at Pelling, check in to hotel. Later free for own activities and overnight stay at Pelling hotel.

Day 05: Pelling Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing trip of Pelling and visit to – Darap Cherry Village - Situated at an altitude well over 1,600 mtrs above sea level. Rimbi Water Falls – Water falls is spectacular in summer that attract many water falls lovers. Khecheopalri Lake – This is considered one of the sacred Lakes of Sikkim. Khangchendzongha Water Falls – It is one of the most beautiful water falls in Sikkim and is normally active throughout the year. After lunch visit to Pemayangtse Monastery – This is one of the oldest and most important monasteries of Sikkim. Founded in 1705, this monastery belongs to the Nyingma-Pa sec. Rabdantse Palace Ruins – Rabdentse ruins the 2nd capital of Sikkim, founded by the 2nd Chogyal of Sikkim Tensung Namgyal in the year 1670. And New Halipad Ground. Later free for independent activities or explore local market and overnight stay at Pelling hotel.

Day 06: Pelling – Gangtok (118 km) 5 Hours journey via Chardham

After breakfast check out from Pelling hotel and drive to Gangtok en route visiting Temi Tea Garden, Samdruptse and Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham) in Namchi. On arrival at Gangtok, check in to hotel. Later free for your own activities and overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Day 07: Gangtok Local Sightseeing Tour

After leisurely breakfast full day local city tour and visiting Tashi View Point - Excellent sunrise and Kanchenjunga viewing area. Ganesh Tok – The Ganesh Temple about 6 km away from Gantok with a nice viewing area. Hanuman Tok – Hanuman Temple with a wonder full viewing area. Flowers Exhibition Centre – Located near Gangtok town and at one end of The Ridge Park. Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre – This is the building of Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom including a sales emporium and a Museum showcasing many different handicraft items. Institute of Tibetology – A world famous institute doing research on Tibetan Language, Culture and also has a great museum and library. It is located at near Chorten Stupa. Chorten Stupa – A famous Buddhist religious monument with a golden dome top which is visible from many places around Gangtok. Enchey Monastery – Located on a hilltop, it is one of the oldest monasteries. Ban Jakhri Falls – A great water fall, place is an excellent picnic spot for families. Evening come back to hotel and overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Day 08: Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake – Baba Mandir – Nathula Pass – Gangtok (53 Km)

After early breakfast proceed at 8.00AM to Nathula Pass en route visiting Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.), Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) Nathula Pass (Please note arrange permit for Nathula Pass by your own and keep necessary documents as 2 photo + ID proof for obtain permit). Evening come back to Gangtok hotel, after refresh free for your own activities and overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

We will not be responsible for Nathula Pass and other mentioned places. Kindly hire another cab by your own effort and cost for Nathula Pass and other above mentioned places. Nathula Pass is open to Indian visitors only on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturday and Sundays.

Day 09: Gangtok – Lachen (9,800 ft. – 118 km) Travel time 6 Hours (Approx)

After leisurely breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Lachen en route visiting Singhik View Point – It is a beautiful place which is replete with nature's bounty. Seven Sister Water Fall – On the road to North Sikkim, tourist can witness the pristine waterfall, namely seven sisters waterfall. Naga Water Fall – It is the best water fall on the way to Chungthang. Evening arrive at Lachen, check in to hotel and free for own activities and overnight stay at Lachen hotel.

Day 10: Lachen – Chopta Valley – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachen (66 Km)

After early breakfast drive to Chopta Valley and visit to Chopta Valley – Chopta Valley is a popular tourist destination in North Sikkim and the valley of flowers as it is known is a riot of colors during summer months. Gurudongmar Lake – At an altitude of over 17100 ft. close to the Tibet border lays and one of the most sacred and pristine lakes in Sikkim. Later drive back to Lachen and overnight stay at Lachen hotel.

Day 11: Lachen – Lachung (47 Km) Travel time 2 hours (Approx)

After leisurely breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Lachung at high altitude of 8,800 ft. On arrival at Lachung, check in to hotel, after refresh free for independent activities and overnight stay at Lachung hotel.

Day 12: Lachung – Yumthang Valley Tour – Lachung (26 Km)

After leisurely breakfast drive to Yumthang and explore Yumthang Valley – Situated at a height of 3598 Meters above from the see level and is popularly known as the Valley of Flowers. It is a grazing pasture surrounded by the Himalayan Mountains in the North Sikkim and visit to Hot Springs, Zero Point. Later return back to hotel and overnight stay at Lachung hotel.

Day 13: Lachung – Gangtok (116 km) Travel 6 hours (Approx)

After breakfast check out from hotel and drive back to Gangtok with the mesmerizing view of Bhim Nala water falls and Twin water falls. On arrival at Gangtok, check in to hotel. Later free for your own activities and overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Day 14: Gangtok – Kalimpong (75 km) 3 Hour journey + Kalimpong Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast check out from Gangtok hotel and drive to Kalimpong. On arrival at Kalimpong, check in to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Kalimpong – Kalimpong situated on the foothills of the Himalayas is a green destination at an altitude of 1243 Meters. Visit to Forest Museum (Closed On Thursday), Deolo/Dello Hill, Hanuman Mandir, Dr Graham Homes, Durbin Monastery/Hill, Mangal Dham, Pine View Nurseries (Cactus Only) and Golf Garden. Evening come back to hotel and free for own activities/shopping and overnight stay at Kalimpong hotel.

Day 15: Kalimpong – Bagdogra Railway Station/Airport (75 km) Travel time 3 hours (Approx)

After breakfast check out from hotel and drive back to Bagdogra, on arrival at Bagdogra drop off to NJP Railway station or IXB Airport to board the train/flight for further journey back to home/or onward journey.
